Hi Federico, I will apply your patch in the next release of the mp3splt Debian package.
However, I would really like if you could work with upstream and rework your patch for libmp3splt (which is probably what you meant when you mentioned the refactored code). Otherwise, if the patch is not upstream, I will have to either: 1- delay the release of the next mp3splt stable release or 2- drop the patch Both of these would be unfortunate.
