Package: pcscd
Version: 1.4.4-3
Severity: normal

Hello,

debugging bug #457657 [1] I discovered that pcscd never returns errors
in /etc/reader.conf. How to reproduce this error:

1) create /etc/reader.conf.d/test, which contains just "this is a test"
2) call update-reader.conf [2]
3) start `pcscd -f && echo OK`, which strangely reports OK

Thx, bye,
Gimso / Luca

[2] update-reader.conf should probably already check if files in
    /etc/reader.conf.d/ are correct reader.conf files and return an
    error on problems. However, since AFAIK update-reader.conf is not
    mandatory, the check in pcscd is still needed
