Package: firmware-iwlwifi Severity: normal
Hi, Running an ipw3945 card in my laptop, I had problems since sometime to make it work. The old ipw3945 module did not work anymore, so I tried to use the new iwlwifi driver coming with 2.6.23 and the firmware-iwlwifi. Because this does not conflict with ipw3945d, the ipw3945 service was always started on boot time and it was not possible to have the new iwl3945 module running. I guess that making the package conflict could be an elegant solution. I can provide more info it needed.
