The short answer is: yes, it is still happening. I fail to understand how it would relate to hardware acceleration, however with an nVidia card nothing would really surprise me. I have my system up to date (as far as stable, backports (for some things) and multimedia.org are concerned. If there's anything else you would like me to try, please let me know.
