I propose this: * alpine 1.x with Maildir support is shipped. * We let them to coexist for some weeks, so that people can actually check that pine is useless in every aspect compared with alpine. * We remove pine from the archive. * After this, the /usr/bin/pine namespace is free and you can do whatever you please with it. For example, you could conflict and replaces pine and just have a symlink pine -> alpine, or you could create a binary package called pine which depends on alpine and provides the symlink pine -> alpine. [ The alternatives system would require also a pine package that uses the alternatives system? If so, that would not be a very good option, as pine is going to be removed (hopefully before the release of lenny) ]. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
