Package: xchm Version: 2:1.9-3 Severity: important
After a recent security update and installation of libchm-bin, libchm-dev (libchm1 was already installed) xchm has stopped working. The error message is : ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The program 'xchm' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'. (Details: serial 496 error_code 11 request_code 144 minor_code 5) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Debug symbols are not built in so I can not provide a backtrace but this should be easly reproducible. Please not my system is not resource starved (it has 1Gb of memory , most of it is unused) and all other applications work fine. b thomas -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.22.2 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages xchm depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libchm1 2:0.39-1 library for dealing with Microsoft ii libgcc1 1:4.1.1-21 GCC support library ii libstdc++6 4.1.1-21 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libwxbase2.6-0 2.6.3.2.1.5 wxBase library (runtime) - non-GUI ii libwxgtk2.6-0 2.6.3.2.1.5 wxWidgets Cross-platform C++ GUI t xchm recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
