Hm, you're actually shipping the symlink to the shell script:

lrwxrwxrwx root/root         0 2007-12-05 11:27 ./usr/bin/makedat -> 
../lib/courier/makedat

At this end, the install script installs both makedat and makedatprog
into /usr/bin.

The manual page is missing at this end, I'll fix that.

I'm adding an alternative for makedat{,.1} like the one for lockmail &co.,
and a Replaces:, hopefully it will work and be sufficient.
