Hi Jeremy, This bug is opened since 9 months and newer upstream versions have appeared. Having latest upstream version is not for fun. Older versions of fwbuilder (like the one in Debian) do not open files created or modified by newer one. Therefore, we need to build our own packages to be able to work with people running fwbuilder on Gentoo for example.
