Hi Jack, Thanks for letting me know about this problem.
You are right, version 0.7.0 was ignoring the configuration file because of permission problems and 0.7.1 fixed that. I just uploaded a fix for the problem you described. The downside is that now the password is no longer retained at all and that question will be asked everytime the package is installed/upgraded. I'm hoping to find a solution for that.
