Package: file
Version: 4.23-1
Followup-For: Bug #366023

It looks as though there's a problem here parsing the magic. If the
magic is incorrect, it should be fixed; if the problem is in the parser,
it should be fixed. Is it Apache parsing the magic here? In that case,
it's an Apache bug: /usr/share/file/mime.magic is *not* a file Apache
should be looking at (and it will shortly disappear, as we're about to
fold the MIME types into the main magic file upstream). /etc/magic is a
public file that anything may parse; /usr/share/file/mime{,.magic} are
not.

If on the other hand it's libmagic parsing the file, then the magic is
wrong. The magic for these two types (TeX and Inform) works fine in
current CVS file.
