I think the easiest way to is to remove the file
/var/lib/dpkg/info/libghc6-xmonad-contrib-dev.postinst
and then remove the broken package.

Too bad, I was hopeing that it would then let you install the new
package over the old one. But I think with removing the postinst, you
can fix the problem.
