Package: xaw3dg Version: 1.5+E-15 Severity: normal I am not entirely sure this is the right package to report this; pure X toolkit programs are a dying breed, and xaw3d programs even more so. Please reassign as appropriate.
I observed this behavior in gv. First, I noticed that unless I take specific action, gv comes up with huge ugly fonts for its controls (I am not talking about fonts for the document). So, using editres I found that the widget class of the top window is "GV" (no surprise), and I added something like this to my .Xresources: GV*font: -*-nice-small-font-*- After the necessary propagation/restarting, gv came up with my nice small font in _some_ controls - but kept the ugly huge font in some others. After many other fruitless tries, I did this: gv*font: -*-nice-small-font-*- and this works! Given that the top window has widget name "gv" and class "GV", how can the two settings not be equivalent? Seems like a bug to me. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.22-3-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages xaw3dg depends on: ii libc6 2.7-6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libice6 2:1.0.4-1 X11 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libsm6 2:1.0.3-1+b1 X11 Session Management library ii libx11-6 2:1.0.3-7 X11 client-side library ii libxext6 1:1.0.3-2 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxmu6 2:1.0.4-1 X11 miscellaneous utility library ii libxpm4 1:3.5.7-1 X11 pixmap library ii libxt6 1:1.0.5-3 X11 toolkit intrinsics library xaw3dg recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
