Also, for Philip and for those reading the bug log, I'm not quite sure how
best to handle the tagging and severity here.  I tagged this bug sid even
though the bug also affects the package in sarge, but I believe that it
requires a newer 2.6 kernel than the one in sarge to trigger.  So in other
words, it's still a sarge bug but the severity is less in sarge because I
believe the module will work properly with the sarge kernel.

There are unfortunately several issues like that and the upstream diff
between 1.3.81 and 1.3.82 is extensive, making a backport for sarge
somewhat less than appealing.

There isn't a really good solution for sarge, although I may start trying
to cherry-pick patches from upstream.  (But testing is going to be a
serious issue.)
