Yes, either an issue in libvisual itself (maybe broken CPU feature detection or similar again) or in the gstreamer plugin. Could you run this (with no registry forking) in gdb and get a backtrace? Having the glib, gstreamer, gst-plugins-base and gst-plugins-good debug packages installed might be a good idea.
