Yes it's a recommends for fglrx-driver. So, could you also try without the package ? fglrx-glx installs ATI's custom libGL. Since recent rewrite, it seems 3D aceleration works with both libGL (mesa standard and ATI's), but ATI's was needed for compiz by some users.. Anyway, your issue might work with mesa's, or at least it's good to know the answer.. Romain
