Package: devscripts Version: 2.10.18.1 Severity: normal I'm not sure if this is the intended behaviour, but debc doesn't work if I give the binary package name as an argument. It seems to require the whole .deb filename instead.
sid% debc libapache2-mod-speedycgi debc: no appropriate .debs found in the changes file speedy-cgi-perl_2.22-9_amd64.changes! sid% debc libapache2-mod-speedycgi_2.22-9_amd64.deb libapache2-mod-speedycgi_2.22-9_amd64.deb ----------------------------------------- new debian package, version 2.0. [...] My reading of the debc man page was that the optional [package] argument would mean the package name, not the whole .deb, but it's not very clear: If a list of packages is given on the command line, then only those debs or udebs with names in this list of packages will be processed. Please either clarify the man page or (preferably) make it work with just the package name. If I have to write the whole filename, I could just as well use 'dpkg-deb -c'.
