Package: finch
Version: 2.4.0-1
Severity: important

I use finch in xfce4-terminal. Compose is enabled in xorg.conf:

    Option "XkbOptions" "compose:ralt"

Some characters work, e.g. the EURO-Symbol using Compose+=
(equal sign) and Compose+E.

But most combinations do not work and make finch unusable in an
international environment. E.g.:

- Compose+s and Compose+s should produce German sharp-s, but
  produce an underbar

- Compose+" (double quote) and a/o/u open a dialog instead of
  producing vocal with diaresis

- Compose+~ (tilde) with Compose+n should give Spanish n with
  tilde (eñe), but finch terminates...
