Sorry to be such a bother, but this still doesn't fix it. With 5.10.0-5 from incoming: dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/libarchive-tar-perl_1.38-2_all.deb (--unpack): trying to overwrite `/usr/bin/ptardiff', which is also in package perl perl-modules 5.10.0-5 has Conflicts: libarchive-tar-perl (<= 1.38-1) Replaces: libarchive-tar-perl Provides: libarchive-tar-perl but /usr/bin/ptardiff is in the perl package, not perl-modules, and libarchive-tar-perl is now at 1.38-2. I'm probably thoroughly confused by now, but maybe perl-modules should have Conflicts: libarchive-tar-perl (<< 1.38) Replaces: libarchive-tar-perl Provides: libarchive-tar-perl because the problem is not there at all, and perl something like Conflicts: libarchive-tar-perl (<< 1.39) Replaces: libarchive-tar-perl (<< 1.39) along with a separate bug on libarchive-tar-perl saying that ptardiff should be diverted if it's ever upgraded past 1.38 ?
