Package: mount Version: 2.12r-19etch1 Severity: normal Hi,
On several of my machines running Etch I get the following instead of some "info" promised by the manual: # losetup /dev/loop0 /dev/loop0: [38e4]:-1208829177 () offset -1208768944, xor encryption loop: can't get info on device /dev/loop0: No such device or address The loop module is loaded, the node is present under /dev, but it hasn't been used since the last reboot. The machine uses LVM over RAID, and works correctly otherwise. Another machine without LVM or RAID doesn't exhibit this. XEN doesn't seem to influence this. I think outputting uninitialised variables should be avoided. Hmm, I notice that the system information below misses the library names, all are truncated to lib. They are of course (in this order): libblkid1, libc6 and libuuid1.
