Package: libchipcard-tools Version: 4.0.0-5 Severity: minor
The /usr/sbin/chipcardd4 daemon is searching every second for a new usb card reader. This is done with a search in the /proc directory (checked with strace). Perhaps udev can be used to send a signal to the daemon to start a search for a reader if a new usb device is plugged in. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-1-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages libchipcard-tools depends on: ii adduser 3.106 add and remove users and groups ii libc6 2.7-9 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libchipcard-data 4.0.0-5 configuration files for libchipcar ii libchipcardc2 4.0.0-5 library for accessing smartcards ii libchipcardd0 4.0.0-5 library for accessing smartcards ii libgcc1 1:4.3.0-1 GCC support library ii libgwenhywfar47 3.1.1-1 OS abstraction layer ii libstdc++6 4.3.0-1 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libsysfs2 2.1.0-3 interface library to sysfs libchipcard-tools recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
