Thanks for the advice Jamie. Yes, there is still xman :) I will look into XScreenSaver.ad.in and configure and try to do the right thing. We should not build our packages with any Gnome dependencies, since they are often used on non-Gnome systems. Maybe I can fix up the NOGNOME stanza to use x-terminal-emulator and x-www-browser, since also firefox is unsure on a Debian system.
