Hi Martin,

Indeed name-space value representations are cropped at 128 characters by design. The name-space is designed to be fast and responsive since it updates frequently (e.g. with each step).

When you double click a variable its representation fills the dialog edit box only if it can be (re)evaluated to the original value. Therefore cropped representations do not show up in this dialog. This is by design as well.

You can use the Winpdb console eval command to examine the a variable that has been cropped in the viewer.
Type help at the Winpdb console for more information.
