Hi, The attached script, when installed as /etc/pm/sleep.d/anacron fixes this problem for my Gnome desktop (and probably for other popular desktop environments as well).
Currently anacron contains the script /etc/apm/event.d/anacron which launches anacron during APM resume and when AC power is plugged in, but since not all systems use apm, this script should perhaps be removed, or at least edited to launch anacron only when AC power is connected. Best, Teemu
