Beside that a-tags are closed by </a> in html.
It is closed! It is a so called 'empty element'
Debian's pages are HTML, not XHTML. You can't have empty elements in HTML, 
you need to close them properly.

I don't know if this is the prettiest solution though. I would really 
prefer the soultion using [href] attribute matching, since this only 
matches hypertext links.
:link and :visited also only matches links, and doesn't depend on them being 
A elements.
