Package: teapop Severity: normal
I recommend removing this package from the stable repository because: * It has several flaws and possible security holes (crashing on ia64/amd64, this has been fixed with #463365) that were NOT patched by the original author but by third parties. * The product is not in active development anymore, the last date from the ChangeLog is from 25-Nov-2003 (!) http://svn.toontown.org/ToonTown/Teapop/main/doc/ChangeLog Security and reliability of this product are not given anymore until someone take over the project and continues development. * The default configuration doesn't work the default configuration of Postfix. I tried this and had several locking problems that went away when I compiled teapop myself with only --enable-flock * These important things on the project homepage don't work anymore: - CVSWeb - Mailing list! I tried to subscribe, but the list doesn't exist So I think that the removal of the stable repository is the only option.
