Package: phpgroupware-0.9.16-core-base Severity: important On a newly installed server, with already installed mysql server, if trying to issue 'aptitude install phpgroupware-0.9.16' from the commandline, the dependencies proposed are mysql-client and php5-pgsql (taking the order declared in the dependencies of phpgroupware-0.9.16-core-base).
The user then selects mysql in config, and provides all necessary information. When trying to access http://localhost/phpgroupware/, a blank page will be displayed (and no errors in apache's error log :( ). This is because no connection to the mysql server was possible since no php5-mysql module was installed. The dependencies have to be defined in the same order, I think, so that the default choices match the same DB system. Eventually if using aptitude in interactive mode, a user could still install parts with mysql support and other parts for postgresql, but then, I don't see any way to solve that with the current dependency syntax :( -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.22-3-vserver-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages phpgroupware-0.9.16-core-base depends on: ii apache2 2.2.8-1 Next generation, scalable, extenda ii apache2-mpm-prefork [httpd] 2.2.8-1 Traditional model for Apache HTTPD ii debconf 1.5.20 Debian configuration management sy ii libapache2-mod-php5 5.2.5-3 server-side, HTML-embedded scripti pn mysql-client | postgresql-cli <none> (no description available) ii php5 5.2.5-3 server-side, HTML-embedded scripti ii php5-mysql 5.2.5-3 MySQL module for php5 ii php5-pgsql 5.2.5-3 PostgreSQL module for php5 pn phpgroupware-0.9.16-admin <none> (no description available) pn phpgroupware-0.9.16-phpgwapi <none> (no description available) pn phpgroupware-0.9.16-preferenc <none> (no description available) pn phpgroupware-0.9.16-setup <none> (no description available) pn wwwconfig-common <none> (no description available) Versions of packages phpgroupware-0.9.16-core-base recommends: pn php5-ldap <none> (no description available) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
