Okay. New checkout, aclocal-1.9 -I m4 works, but: $ automake-1.9 -a [... creating files ...] configure.ac:39: required file `./ltmain.sh' not found and configure eventually fails with config.status: error: cannot find input file: Makefile.in Okay. Googling indicates I need to run libtoolize --force. Now it works. (Have I ever mentioned how much I hate automake and friends, autoconf not included?:) Finally got to try the fix. It barks about the invocation but no longer fails with an exception. Good work :) I've since changed my invocation of Javadoc in http-kit's Makefile, and it, too works okay with CVS Gjdoc.
