Package: pong2 Version: 0.1.0-1 Followup-For: Bug #309583 As you can see in the dependancy list (as follows), pong2 depends on SDL and uses SDL as event loop. SDL is responsible for setting up the window, setting up OpenGL and grabbing input.
If you don't like the way SDL does set up the window (w/ focus) and grabs the input, file a bug report against SDL. Pong2 doesn't block any signals. If you think SDL blocks signals, file a bug report about SDL. If you think it doesn't, file a bug report against your kernel scheduler. As one can read on your own report, pong2 didn't crash anything until you killed it yourself. If you can't handle SDL isn't able to free the X input ressources because you killed it before, perhaps you would like to file a bug report against your X server, which doesn't free the ressources itself. Pong2 doesn't need any special hardware, it only needs a working OpenGL environment. This is already well declared by the dependancy (again, as follows) xlibmesa-gl (and xlibmesa-glu as well). If your OpenGL environment is too slow (e.g. software rendering on your system), this is neither pong2's fault, nor the fault of any other OpenGL application you could try to run and would behave accordingly. Pong2 did run on your system with a frame rate of 0.2 per second. This means it would need at most 5 seconds to process any input, like pressing ESC or q. Perhaps it would also need 5 seconds to process SIGTERM (remember to file your bug report to libsdl). If you don't have that time left, perhaps you need a "CAUTION: don't play 3D games" sticker on your computer, as other's need a "CAUTION: don't insert living pets" sticker on their microwave. I don't know if debian needs to supply those stickers with every game that is shipping.
