when I create an audio cd from a number of mp3 files, gnomebaker invokes mpg123 (really mpg321) with the -w option in order to convert the mp3 into wav files. However, the mpg123 process then only consumes a few percent of cpu perfomance (as seen on top) and wav conversion progresses extremely slowly. It seems that mpg123 with -w outputs audio data in "realtime" as opposed to "as fast as possible", which i believe I have seen with the -s option (which I have used before). I also noted that a "--resync" option is used, which is undocumented and, judging from the source of mpg321, seems to be a no-op...? Anyway, this bug makes gnomebaker unusable for creating audio cds from mp3.
