80MB can be significant in making the cut between 2 DVD's or 3 DVD's, or whether or not sarge fits on 1 dual-layer DVD. To be honest, for the latter 80MB savings might not be enough, but it certainly helps a big deal, this book being close to 1% of the size of sarge. > Should I take some action to have the package actually removed from > the archives or is this mail sufficient? If you're positive, officially you're requested to file a bug on ftp.debian.org pseudopackage asking for its removal, but I can take it on from you if you explicitely say you've decided you want it to be removed. For sarge, I think we'll now remove it, for unstable, a more explicit statement is needed :). > BTW, you should remove also alml which is only used for packaging > this book. It might be of wider use though, I don't know. I'm hoping for input from the alml maintainer on this.
