I am experiencing the same problem. A downgrade to nfs-common_1.1.1-14 allows it to work again.
Here are the relevant lines from "ps aux" while the command is waiting: root 4415 0.0 0.0 3260 708 ? Ss 19:59 0:00 mount -t nfs4 yamato:/opt /home/chris/mnt/yopt root 4416 0.0 0.0 1920 728 ? S 19:59 0:00 /sbin/mount.nfs4 yamato:/opt /home/chris/mnt/yopt -o rw root 4417 0.0 0.0 0 0 ? S 19:59 0:00 [nfsv4-svc] But when the timeout expires (3 minutes) this appears in the kern.log: Apr 1 20:08:07 stargazer kernel: rpcbind: server yamat not responding, timed out Apr 1 20:08:07 stargazer kernel: nfs: server yamat not responding, timed out The last letter of the server name has been dropped. I have also tried this by specifying an IP address instead of a hostname - the last digit of the IP address is dropped. When the command finishes this is printed to the console: mount.nfs4: internal error I hope this information helps.
