Package: gpm Version: 1.20.3~pre3-3 Severity: important User: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Usertags: missing-dependency
Hello, I've just enabled dependency based ordering of the initscripts via insserv. Since this change, gpm fails to stop at shutdown process: it is already stopped by the sendsigs, and /var is not available any longer. This can simply be fixed by adding a dependency on $remote_fs to both Required-Start and Required-Stop. Please see the Petter Reinholdtsens comments on the initscripts-ng-devel mailinglist regarding this issue: http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/initscripts-ng-devel/2008-April/000528.html greetings, jonas -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-8-amd64-resivo (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages gpm depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.20 Debian configuration management sy ii debianutils 2.28.4 Miscellaneous utilities specific t ii libc6 2.7-10 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgpmg1 1.20.3~pre3-3 General Purpose Mouse - shared lib ii lsb-base 3.2-7 Linux Standard Base 3.2 init scrip ii ucf 3.006 Update Configuration File: preserv gpm recommends no packages. -- debconf information: * gpm/responsiveness: * gpm/repeat_type: none * gpm/append: * gpm/restart: false * gpm/sample_rate: * gpm/device: /dev/input/mice * gpm/type: exps2 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
