Not what I am supposed to, it seems. Normally, I would expect a 
.dpkg-dist file, but this is not there. Neither is the original 
mediatomb file changed. Upon reinstalling the package, the correct 
version is installed (with USER and GROUP). I would probably attribute 
this to a local error and not the package, since it works fine on 
reinstall.

Which means that this bug can be dismissed.
