Stable isn't updated for all but the most absolutely terrible bugs or security issues. So unfortunately there isn't much I can do but fix it in unstable (and once the build daemons complete their work, testing). The bug tracking system notes the version that contained the fix, so it is still clear that the bug is present in stable.
