After thinking deeper, I think that it would indeed be a dangerous slope and something that the package cannot really handle well in place of the local admin's policy. So, finally, I won't go this way and I don't see the need to develop such script in the package. Gilles, I think this really belongs to the local admin duties...(s)he should know that ID mapping is critical and has to be backed up.
