That's not a valid comparison. ctypes is a module formerly external and now in the python core. That fix was about that it's only built for python2.4 now, which the tools fail to understand. > don't have to recompile openoffice.org on every change of python version. It's a decision to just support the default python and I won't change that (at least not in the near future). If you really want, you can file a wishlist bug, but it quickly will be +wontfix.
