Hm, rsyslog shouldn't fork (so no child processes). It's multithreaded though...
I am prepared to debug, please say what you want me to do.
Could you please disable the imklog temporarily and test if that prevents the segfault (comment out $ModLoad imklog in /etc/rsyslog.conf) There is a known problem in the klog input module, which is said to be fixed in 3.16.1 (which I'm going to upload soon).
I put preliminary 3.16.1 packages at http://debs.michaelbiebl.de/rsyslog It would be great if you could give those packages a try.If that doesn't already help, could you please also send me the output of running rsyslogd in debug mode ("rsyslogd -d")
