  err -inetd_ipv6 is added automatically if INETD_COMPAT is set, and
ipv6 is available on the system. In addition to that, I'm pretty sure
that flags = IPv6 is needed to have ipv6 since like forever[0].

  You can enable ipv6 globally using /etc/xinetd.conf default section if
you want that. So I'm unsure what you really want, could you please be
more precise ?

  [0] I'm sure about that because git.madism.org is run by xinetd and I
      *had* to add flags = IPv6 to have it available on the ipv6
      interface as well, and the xinetd there predates the patch.
