Ctrl Alt +/- missing has been discussed in the upstream bug https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14688 The feature can be superseded with xrandr calls or urandr/grandr clicks in most cases. Upstream seems to consider that other cases are not important enough to justify reimplementing Ctrl Alt +/- support. Why do you need xvidtune for? What error do you get when you try to run it?
