The upstream situation is not as clear cut - I've been making every effort to a new and enthusiastic developer (Ouattara Oumar Aziz) take over the upstream development of SBackup peacefully. I must say that this process along with a partial rewrite of the software that Aziz started even earlier might have turned out a bit more complex than he expected. I on my part did not follow up on the fate of the upstream development as much as I should have. If you find this package important for you or your users and have some time to provide a NMU, I would welcome that with open hands. Meanwhile I am discussing the future of the SBackup software with Aziz and it should see a revitalization that is rather common among free software towards the summer. Note: there have been a couple private emails on the same subject that I have not answered yet, because the situation is not 100% certain, but all patches, bug reports and translations will be acted upon eventually. Help is welcome however. -- Best regards, Aigars Mahinovs mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] #--------------------------------------------------------------# | .''`.
