I tried a couple of things and here is the result. I upgraded my kernel, from Debian's linux-image-2.6.25-1-amd64 with a patched rndis_host module to Debian's linux-image-2.6.25-2-amd64 with a patched rndis_host module, and that made work odccm properly again. I'm not sure why. However, synce-pls and friends fail, with the error:
** Message: Hal reports no devices connected synce-pls: Unable to initialize RAPI: An unspecified failure has occurred I guess that this is related to the recent update of libsynce0.
