[ simutrans crashes if starting time is below ~1800, but works for 1840 and later ] Thank you. I could now reproduce the problem. If I set the starting time to a low value, no cities are generated. This causes simutrans to crash when finding travel routes for passengers, or finding a random building (this should be the two problems you reported as 1. and 3.). I decreased the severity of this bug to normal, because I think simutrans isn't really playable without cities anyway, but a fix to prevent the crash will be included in the next revision of the package.
