Aw CRAP. Upstream seems to have an uncanny ability to regress this between EVERY upload, no matter how many times I send patches that fix it.
I've bounced this back to the person who broke it again this time to fix, in the meantime while we wait for that to happen, your best shot at a workaround is to build it locally on a machine that has a full working XOrg install. The amd64 packages work, which I built and tested here, but probably every arch that was built on the buildds will have suffered this failure.
