Package: debmirror
Version: 20070124-0fix387686
Severity: wishlist

Hello Goswin,

I'm maintaining a number of cascading d.o mirrors (three levels, not
including d.o) and use debmirror often to synchronize them between the
cron times. Fully scanning the local mirror consumes much time (many
minutes). It would be nice to have an option to cache all directory
entry states (such as, perhaps,
"pool/main/z/zabbix/zabbix-agent_1.1.4-10etch1_alpha.deb: ok",
"pool/main/z/zabbix/zabbix-agent_1.1.4-10_m68k.deb: incomplete") and to
trust that the mirror is consistent with this cache. This would allow
for much faster mirroring times if only a few files have changed.

Thanks in advance,
Baurzhan.
