Package: hostapd
Version: ver 0.5.10
Severity: wishlist

The report is for an ASUS EEE pc with debian installed in place
of the manufacturers OS. The Wireless chipset is Atheros

I have set up WEP on the machine and this works. I can connect
with my iphone. WAP2 fails - I can see the wireless access point
on my iphone but the password authentication fails.

The output of hostapd -ddK /etc/hostapd/hostapd.conf is below:
(terminated with a control C keystroke)

eeepc:~# hostapd -ddK /etc/hostapd/hostapd.conf
