Hi there! First of all, you're recieving this email as I have worked with you in Ubuntu or Debian, or you have sponsored a package for me in either and you are aware (or may be aware) of my packaging skills
I am currently undergoing the Debian New Maintainer process. During this, my Application manager has suggested that I request to become a Debian Maintainer in the meantime, as this allows me to practice uploads, etc. You can see my application here: http://lists.debian.org/debian-newmaint/2008/06/msg00004.html I've already recieved on advocacy email [1] however, it has been requested that I look for more to add to this list. [2] If you could have a look at http://wiki.debian.org/Maintainers and then decide whether you believe that I have what it takes to become a Debian Maintainer, then I'd appreciate it. If you do feel that I am suitable, I'd also appreciate if you were to reply to my post on [EMAIL PROTECTED] (or post a new email mentioning my name and your advocacy) to advocate my becoming a Debian Maintainer. Also, if you have any strong objections to me becoming a Debian Maintainer, this is the time to make them known. This can be done, once again, by emailing [EMAIL PROTECTED] - though I hope that this won't be the case. Thanks in advance for any of you who do decide to advocate me. -- Regards, Martin "Mez" Meredith [1] http://lists.debian.org/debian-newmaint/2008/06/msg00007.html [2] http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=484672 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
