Not having upgraded was a brain fart of me (I had upgraded all boxes and saw the new libldap, but this particular box had a proxy issue and got old packages). But the problem is still there: apache2: /tmp/buildd/openldap2.3-2.4.9/libraries/liblber/io.c:234: ber_flush2: Assertion `( (sb)->sb_opts.lbo_valid == 0x3 )' failed. [Fri Jun 06 21:01:01 2008] [notice] child pid 25513 exit signal Aborted (6) I can reproduce it by restarting the slapd it is connected to. The Ubuntu launchpad entry refers to that fix openldap2.3 (2.4.9-1ubuntu1) intrepid; urgency=low * Merge from debian unstable, remaining changes: [...] - debian/patches/fix-assertion-io.patch: Fixes ber_flush2 assertion.
