Package: webalizer Version: 2.01.10-32 Severity: normal I have a webalizer config that I've written myself (instead of using Debconf to generate it, that is), and, among other things, it tells Webalizer to use more than one logfile (both access.log and access.log.1, to get immediate updates while avoiding lost record at logfile rollover).
However, the webalizer cron script shipped with the Debian package assumes only one logfile in the webalizer config, and will not run webalizer when more than one is specified (it will use the concatenation of all the logfile names in its non-emptiness and readability checks). I would also question whether those checks are really necessary to begin with. After all, what are they for? If the logfile is incorrectly specified, webalizer will say so on stderr and it will be mailed by cron to the sysadmin, which is probably desired behavior anyhow. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable'), (50, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-1-amd64 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages webalizer depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.11etch1 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-13etch5 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libdb4.2 4.2.52+dfsg-2 Berkeley v4.2 Database Libraries [ ii libgd2-xpm 2.0.33-5.2 GD Graphics Library version 2 ii libgeoip1 1.3.17-1.1 A non-DNS IP-to-country resolver l ii libpng12-0 1.2.15~beta5-1 PNG library - runtime ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3-13 compression library - runtime webalizer recommends no packages. -- debconf information excluded -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
