Package: axiom
Version: 20050901-10
Followup-For: Bug #475170

Hi,

I tried to run axiom and ran into this bug. I've tested it on three machines.
The first is an Intel Core2 Duo. The other two are AMD
Athlon64s. I found that on the Athlons Axiom starts without any problems, but
on the Core2 it fails. Has anyone tried an Athlon chip
and had it fail?

FWIW, I'm also getting problems trying to build from scratch axiom (segfaults
at some point during the build, while it's doing
something involving lisp), as well as gcl (hits an error in configure). But
building axiom on an AMD chip seems to work.

/proc/cpuinfo for two of the CPUs I've tried follows (the two AMD CPUs are
almost identical).

Peace,
Brendon
