This bug is very critical to me (Severity: critical),
cause an important ERP-Applikation running on winxp-client deny to work due to
this problem (found no space to save work-files and unfortunately no
'ignore'-button to workaround)

dist.: sarge

maschine:(uname -a)
2.4.29 #1 SMP Do Mär 24 10:42:14 CET 2005 sparc64 GNU/Linux

Package: samba
Architecture: sparc
Version: 3.0.14a-1

After reading the hints of this Bug#233688 I rebuild the samba-packages from
source-packages after changing --with-quotas to --without-quotas in the
rules-file.

And indeed, the share size was immediately right.

Unfortunately after the weekend this morning I wanted to verify my success but
found silly sizes again.

Restarting samba solved the problem only temporary, after about 10 minutes
silly sizes again (from MB up to PB). I found nothing related in the logs.

I thing restarting samba every ten minutes by cron is my friend now.

thanks,

Norbert
